We dove deep into the world of regenerative landscapes – the farmers and their integral connection to the land, their customs, and their struggles. We researched the different agricultural practices across the regions where the collective operated – India, Pakistan, Tanzania, and Brazil – and how each context brought its own set of unique opportunities and challenges.
For instance, at first we planned to show the toll conventional farming takes on the land by depicting heavy machinery plowing through the fields. However, through our research and conversations with the client, we discovered that local farmers work by hand, using traditional methods instead, so we changed the final design to something that reflected that.
We also studied other stakeholders involved, such as local communities, governments, and manufacturers. This extensive process was crucial to accurately reflecting the reality of the farmers and the impact the client sought to achieve. Our team collaborated closely with the client to make sure we stayed true to their message. All this careful preparation resulted in a script and a visual style that resonates with authenticity and understanding.
