A Global Movement for Sustainable Farming

The client is a collective of NGOs that brings together companies, producers, farmers, and organizations to transform agricultural landscapes toward regenerative practices. They’re working together to reshape the future of farming and production by focusing on sustainability, people, and fairness.

Target Audience and Goal.

We wanted to get people excited about what the client does, how far they’ve come in accomplishing their goals, and where they’re headed. We aimed to provide a clear and concise overview of what the collective does and why it matters, particularly for investors, philanthropic donors, policymakers, and stakeholders. The task was to make sure that anyone, regardless of their knowledge of sustainability practices in farming, can walk away understanding the power and potential of regenerative landscapes, while also emphasizing the massive impact on local smallholder farmers who are at the center of the collective’s work.

In-Depth Research.

We dove deep into the world of regenerative landscapes – the farmers and their integral connection to the land, their customs, and their struggles. We researched the different agricultural practices across the regions where the collective operated – India, Pakistan, Tanzania, and Brazil – and how each context brought its own set of unique opportunities and challenges.

For instance, at first we planned to show the toll conventional farming takes on the land by depicting heavy machinery plowing through the fields. However, through our research and conversations with the client, we discovered that local farmers work by hand, using traditional methods instead, so we changed the final design to something that reflected that.

We also studied other stakeholders involved, such as local communities, governments, and manufacturers. This extensive process was crucial to accurately reflecting the reality of the farmers and the impact the client sought to achieve. Our team collaborated closely with the client to make sure we stayed true to their message. All this careful preparation resulted in a script and a visual style that resonates with authenticity and understanding.

Hand-Drawn Designs.

The art for this video was handcrafted by our artist Stella in Procreate, adding texture, warmth, and character to each scene. Her aim was for the style to feel organic and natural, reflecting the way farmers grow their crops by hand and with care. This approach helped make the video feel alive, sincere, and welcoming, with an underlying human element.

Hand-Crafted Animation for a Humanistic Feel.

For this animation, our senior animator Alex and our intern Ani set out to bring each frame to life with realistic, human-like movement. To reflect the collective’s mission of honoring both nature and community, they avoided a corporate or overly polished style in favor of something warm, organic, and sincere. By blending vector animation in After Effects with frame-by-frame sequences crafted in Moho, our team created scenes rich in texture, depth, and character, delivering an experience that feels profoundly human. Each movement is purposeful, adding authenticity and a strong emotional connection to the people and places it aims to represent.
This project was much more than just a creative assignment for a truly meaningful movement, but also an opportunity for us to challenge ourselves and produce something completely different from what we were usually tasked to do. Instead of striving for corporate perfection, we crafted something organically human, authentic, and inspiring.
